Board Member: Paul Roellig
Paul Roellig, CEO, Bulletin News. An early pioneer in electronic publishing, Roellig founded Bulletin News in 1990 to produce a fax-delivered political and policy publication, the White House Bulletin. The service, delivered around noon, was designed to feed a "news hole" between the morning papers and evening TV news (at that time there was no CNN, Internet or email in Washington) and Roellig saw an opportunity to use electronic delivery to inform news-starved lobbyists, members of Congress and other government officials. Bulletin News was profitable within months and since then the company has launched over 75 additional electronically-delivered (Internet, email, RSS, mobile, fax and Kindle) daily news briefings reaching an audience of over one million professionals.
Prior to founding Bulletin News, Roellig served under two presidents as Senior Policy Analyst and Deputy Associate Director in the White House Office of Policy Development. Roellig also worked at the US Department of Education where he was responsible for providing the Secretary with his daily briefings; the Michigan Lt. Governor’s Office; and the Michigan Department of Commerce.
